Cost Controller wanted by a leading infrastructure organisation delivering major capital projects across the South East. This role is based in Brighton and offers the opportunity to support a high-profile programme of infrastructure investment.
This Cost Controller role will see you taking ownership of project cost control across major infrastructure projects, ensuring accurate budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle. You will be responsible for monitoring project performance, managing cost forecasts and providing clear financial insight to support successful programme delivery.
As a Cost Controller, you will manage project budgets, commitments and Estimate at Completion (EAC), produce detailed monthly cost reports and support Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting. This role will also see you working closely with Project Managers, Commercial teams and external contractors to ensure robust cost control, change management and programme governance. You will play a key role in maintaining financial performance across multiple projects, producing accurate reporting, identifying cost variances and supporting programme governance throughout delivery.
Cost Controller requirements:
- Solid experience in cost management across major infrastructure or capital projects
- Strong forecasting, budgeting and financial reporting experience
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM), Cost Performance Index (CPI) and Estimate at Completion (EAC)
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using cost management software such as Prism or Hexagon EcoSys
- Experience working with NEC contracts
- Strong analytical, reporting and stakeholder management skills
- Professional qualifications such as AACE, APM or ACostE would be desirable
This role offers a salary of up to £60k plus good benefits, based in Brighton on a hybrid basis
