Founding Solutions Engineer (AI Security) wanted by an exceptionally well-backed early-stage AI infrastructure startup building next-generation security tech for autonomous AI systems. This is a rare opportunity to join a deeply technical founding team tackling one of the biggest - and very real - emerging challenges within AI infrastructure and cloud security.
This Founding Solutions Engineer (AI Security) role will see you operating at the intersection of open-source engineering, AI infrastructure and security. As Founding Solutions Engineer, you will contribute directly to a bleeding edge open-source platform, while also working closely with enterprise design partners and the developer community, integrating the technology into proof-of-concept and pilot programmes.
You will initially be highly hands-on technically, contributing code, reviewing pull requests, experimenting with deployment architectures and helping shape the overall technical direction of the platform. Over time, the role will evolve further into customer-facing architecture and technical leadership across enterprise deployments.
As a Founding Solutions Engineer, you will work closely with AI agents, cloud-native infrastructure and security boundaries, helping define how autonomous AI systems can safely execute code, interact with APIs and operate inside secure runtime environments. The ideal candidate will be an active open-source contributor already and likely be involved in developer advocacy / devrel, or community developer projects.
Some of the below experience is required:
- Experience within a startup, open-source company or high-growth engineering environment
- Good programming experience with Rust and/or Python
- Experience within security engineering, runtime security, container security or supply chain security is highly desirable
- Experience working with AI infrastructure, LLM systems or agentic AI frameworks
- Open-source contributions & community involvement
- Strong communication and ambassadorial skills, with the ability to work directly with both engineers and enterprise stakeholders
- Solid career experience within cloud-native infrastructure, distributed systems or platform engineering
- Commercial experience with Kubernetes and modern cloud environments
This is an outstanding opportunity to join a genuinely cutting-edge AI security company at an extremely early stage, helping define what security infrastructure for autonomous AI systems looks like over the next decade. There is a salary of £100k - £150k on offer alongside meaningful equity and the opportunity to have major influence over both product and engineering direction. The role is remote, but you must be based within the UK in order to apply.
