A Full Stack Software Engineer (TypeScript & Node.JS) is required to join a rapidly scaling fintech business based in New York. This is an opportunity to become a key early engineering hire within a high-growth company building modern financial tooling designed to support and empower small and medium-sized businesses.
This is a full-time onsite position in Manhattan, working closely with product and leadership in a highly collaborative, fast-moving environment.
As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you’ll take ownership of significant product areas, leading technical design and delivery from concept through to production. The role is heavily backend-oriented, with responsibility for building scalable services, designing robust data models, and ensuring production reliability as the platform grows.
You will work primarily with TypeScript and Node.js (backend leaning), contributing to architectural decisions, database schema design, and system scalability. You’ll also help shape engineering standards, tooling, and best practices within a team that values autonomy and accountability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from an Elite University is essential
- 4 - 8 years of strong experience with TypeScript / JavaScript and Node.js
- Proven ability to design and deliver full-stack features end-to-end
- Deep experience designing and optimising SQL-based data models
- Startup experience - background working in fast-paced, scaling or early-stage environments
- High ownership mindset with a practical, delivery-focused approach
- Ability to translate business problems into scalable technical solutions
The company is hiring multiple engineers and they are offering $180K – $260K base salary plus equity, comprehensive health coverage including 50% for dependents, paid tech equipment setup, and additional in-office benefits.
