Proprietary Trader / Intraday News Trader needed for consulting work (remote) or a full-time position (NYC based).
The company is an early-stage, growing quant trading firm with a highly technical ML team in place.
They are looking to complement their current team with experts in intraday discretionary equities trading, either on a full-time or consulting basis.
You will be a trader with experience trading around real-time news catalysts, including earnings releases, guidance changes, M&A announcements, FDA headlines, and other short-term market-moving events.
You will not be actively trading or running a P&L - this role is about sharing your decision-making frameworks, providing insights to improve automated trading strategies.
Ideal candidates have a track record in high-velocity trading environments and can clearly articulate how they read the tape, assess dislocations, and size positions.
The consulting role pays $100 - $200 per hour and can be worked remotely.
The full-time role pays $200k to $400k + an equity stake in this growing startup.
Only candidates with demonstrable experience in intraday discretionary trading will be considered.
Requirements:
