Software Engineer / Product Engineer (TypeScript / React)
US Remote or NYC based
A fast-growing fintech startup is looking for a Software Engineer / Product Engineer (Frontend-Focused) to join its expanding engineering team. The company is building a modern financial operating system designed to help small and medium-sized businesses operate more efficiently and grow with confidence.
This is a high-impact engineering role for someone who cares deeply about product quality, user experience, and building software that solves real-world problems. You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of significant parts of the platform, influence technical and product decisions, and work alongside a highly ambitious team in a rapidly scaling business.
What You'll Be Doing
- Owning and evolving frontend architecture, including component systems, state management, scalability, and performance
- Building intuitive dashboards and data-rich applications that make complex financial information easy to understand and act upon
- Developing full-stack features from concept through to production deployment
- Working across frontend and backend systems to deliver end-to-end product functionality
- Collaborating closely with Product, Design, and Leadership teams to create exceptional user experiences
- Optimizing application performance, responsiveness, and usability
- Establishing and maintaining high engineering standards, clean code practices, and scalable architecture
- Translating ambiguous requirements into elegant technical solutions
- Taking ownership of product quality and proactively identifying opportunities for improvement
What They're Looking For
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong expertise with TypeScript and React
- Experience building and maintaining modern web applications in production environments
- Ability to own features end-to-end across the full stack
- Experience building data-heavy products, dashboards, or complex user interfaces
- Strong understanding of frontend architecture, performance optimization, and scalability
- A genuine eye for design and user experience, with exceptional attention to detail
- Startup experience is highly desirable
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment
- A high-ownership mindset and desire to make a meaningful impact
They are offering a package of $150K – $240K (depending on experience and location), plus equity. In addition to this, they offer great benefits, including fully paid health, dental, and vision cover, paid tech equipment setup, and additional in-office benefits. The role is can be US based fully remote or working in their office in Manhattan, NYC.
